A Little Bit More
The world’s best athletes are in Beijing, China from all across the globe competing for Olympic Gold. They came from every walk of life and different cultures representing the best of the best in a variety of sports.
If you’re like me, you experience a variety of feelings and emotions as you watch these athletes experience the thrill of victory as well as the agony of defeat. The Olympics stir our emotions and capture our hearts because deep inside we know these athletes have paid a tremendous price to earn the right to be Olympians.
The truth is, Winning is not easy. To become a champion in the Olympics, life, or business, you’ve got to do everything your competition does and a little bit more.
The following are a few areas where we can do a little bit more. The first step toward improving your life is always the hardest. The key is to launch in the direction of your dreams and goals. Start by taking little steps and once you gain momentum you will be unstoppable.
More time – If you will get started 15 minutes earlier each day it will give you time to get the day started right and you gain 5 hours a month.
More exercise – Go for a walk around the block or jog around your neighborhood for 10 or 15 minutes each day. (If you don’t think you have 15 minutes to exercise refer to tip #1) Just following this one tip will make a big difference in your attitude, energy level, and performance.
More self improvement – Commit everyday to feeding your mind something positive and good. Listen to audio programs on your way to work and read a few pages daily out of an inspirational book before going to bed.
